Stop Waiting, Start Doing!

ImageStop waiting on God to do something with your life! Yeah, it’s time for you to stop waiting because He has done everything that He needs to do including giving up His only son (Romans 8:32). So what more do you want from him? When Jesus died on the cross, he said ‘It is finished’ and he meant exactly that! The bible says that God has blessed us with EVERY spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). Did you see that? He has given us  EVERYTHING! Holding back nothing. So why are you still waiting for him? Why are you still praying ‘Do something Lord! Do something Lord!’? 

The bible also says that ALL things are yours (1 Cor 3:21) So you see, God has done his own part. We need to stop blaming Him and start doing our own part. When the Israelites were in-between the Egyptians and the Red Sea, Moses looked up to God for help and guess what God did, did he come down? Absolutely not! He simply asked Moses for what he had in his hand and he asked him to use it and divide the sea. Of course when Moses stretched out his hands, God backed him up. 

That’s the point exactly! What if Moses was too afraid to stretch out his hand? 

It’s really your turn to do something. Not just anything, but what God requires you to do. How can you find out what God requires you to do? It’s by asking him. In some situations, he already has an answer in his Word as contained in the bible. In some other situations, you would need to specifically find out from him. God speaks to you through his Word, and in your heart. He could confirm his word through other people telling you the same thing that He has already told you or that he is telling you but you are not getting it.

Many times, what you need to do is already known to you. All you have to do is take that step and God will back you up.

You see, it’s really up to you. God is waiting for you.

You need to accept the salvation that God is offering you if you have not done so already. to get born-again is the easiest thing in this world because God has paid the price. Simply accept by saying this prayer (speak it out with your mouth) and meaning it with all your heart

“Father I came to you in the name of the Lord Jesus. I believe in my heart according to Romans 10:10 that Jesus died and was raised up from the dead, I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord. Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart and become my Lord, my master and my saviour. I receive eternal life into my spirit right now! Thank you father because now I know that I’m born again. I Jesus name I’ve prayed, Amen.

Have you been in a Pressure Pot before?

ImageYes, that’s exactly my question. Have you ever been put in a Pressure Cooker, spiced up  and cooked nicely till you are all soft and ready to eat?

If your answer is ‘No’ then you need to get someone to put you into a Pressure Cooker and get you cooked and done nicely.

This is because you are not going to really get far in life if you do not go through pressures that will bring out the best in you. Ever heard of the Refiner’s fire?

So instead of feeling discouraged, feeling low, feeling de-motivated or feeling down because of the things you are going through, you ought to stand up! Shake yourself up and move forward! It’s time to make progress! It’s time to make advancement and it all begins with your mind.

You’ve got to change your thoughts, don’t think victim, rather think victory. Instead of seeing your environment as an obstacle, see it as a stepping stone. Think how you can make things better.

See, a car is made to run irrespective of the environment it finds itself. Whether in New York City or in Haiti, a Rolls Royce would move, this is because it is wired to move from inside and not from the ‘poshness’ of it’s environs.

Take a moment to do this, bring out a currency note, what is the value of the note in your hand? Throw it on the floor and step on it. Pick it up again and crumple it in your hand (currency abuse you are thinking, right?) Bring it out and look at it again. Has the value changed?

The answer is NO! A hundred dollar bill is a hundred dollar bill no matter what you do to it. It would actually appreciate in value if taken to some environments.

What does that say about you? You are not an ordinary person, there’s more to you than the flesh and blood that everyone sees. It’s the inner man. That inner man does not depreciate in value ever!

You’ve got to make up your mind never to be discouraged or de-motivated for one more second! Don’t waste your energy being angry with the system. The system was created by men like you, look for ways you can increase in relevance and very soon you would have opportunities to positively impact the system.

Whatever you do in life, you are really doing for yourself.

Think about that for a moment and decide if you want to continue on the paths you’ve chosen.

If you decide to make a change for the better, then do so now! Stop the procrastination because the Clock is moving and so is the time.

The Greater You!

Image“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us” (2 Corinthians 4:7).

The glory of God that’s been deposited within you isn’t meant to be hidden. God’s dream is to see you search out the hidden treasures in your “earthen vessel” by means of the Spirit, so you can have that glory unveiled and made manifest to the world.

Many have lived and died without having the glorious one in them unveiled. They lived and died as the weak, outer earthen vessel only. All the world saw of them was the outer case that had covered the glorious one within. But there’s a greater “you” within that no one has seen yet, and God’s dream is that you’ll discover him and let him out. All the success, victories, and glories you could have are in that greater “you”; therefore let out the greatness encapsulated in your spirit.

Speaking concerning the Word, John declared, “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world” (John 1:9). God’s Word is the only light that can help you locate that greater one in you. That light will show you who you really are: a king that has the power to decree a thing and have it established unto you!

Yes, you might have made mistakes and experienced some disappointments, so you think you know yourself and your limitations; but you’re looking at the wrong thing. Take your eyes off those limitations and look into God’s mirror (His Word). As you look at the glory of God in the mirror, you’re metamorphosed into the image of God’s glory that you see (2 Corinthians 3:18). The more you look at that image, the more you’re changed to become what you see.

This change will happen to you everyday as you study God’s Word, as you look at that image in the mirror of God and meditate on it everyday. Soon enough, that seemingly weak, timid, failing, limited man that had been out there will give way to the glorious, successful, and powerful new man within. Start today to discover the greater “you” in you from the Word and unveil him to your world.
